In April 2008, Flygbussarna Airport Coaches began operating five coaches that run on Swedish-grown organic rapeseed (canola) oil. During a 16-month trial period, local bus company Upplands Lokaltrafik’s route number 803 will operate on locally produced rapeseed fuel.
Stockholm Transport (SL) route 583 is also currently operating 60 per cent on ethanol; in March, SL plans to start operating the route on 100 per cent ethanol.

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches, Stockholm and Uppsala

Airport coaches serve all terminals. Tickets are available at the Arlanda Visitor Center in Terminal 5 or at the airport’s other information counters. On the airport coach to Uppsala, you can only buy a ticket on board if you have cash. The airport coaches to and from Stockholm have machines at the stops where you can buy tickets.

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches − Stockholm and Stockholm International Fairs
On weekdays there are about 300 departures on the airport coaches (Flygbussarna) between central Stockholm and Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. During peak traffic, the coaches depart at least every ten minutes. You can also ride an airport coach to Stockholm International Fairs (Stockholmsmässan), Älvsjö.

Airport Coaches - Uppsala
The public transport company Upplands Lokaltrafik (UL) also offers airport coach service between Uppsala and Stockholm-Arlanda on route number 801. During peak traffic, the buses depart every 20 minutes.

Night buses
Since August 2009, Stockholm Transport (SL) has been operating night buses between Stockholm-Arlanda Airport and central Stockholm. The numbers of these buses are 592 and 593. For a timetable and more information, visit SL’s website.
