“We’ll now be able to offer the unique Starbucks experience to travellers at this airport and provide fantastic coffee, tasty baked goods and a comfortable place to relax,” says Buck Hendrix, president of Starbucks Coffee Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Anne-Marie Zuidweg, who is Managing Director of Arlanda Shopping, is certain that it will be a welcome addition to the already extensive array of food and beverages at the airport.
“For our shopping facilities at Stockholm-Arlanda, we aim for a mix of shops and restaurants that provide our passengers with the best selection of both Swedish and international brands. So we’re very happy to be the first place in Sweden to open a Starbucks,” she says.
Starbucks, which was started in 1971, today has 16,120 cafés in 49 countries and is the world’s leading roaster and retailer of specialty coffee. The café at Stockholm-Arlanda will be the northernmost in Europe.
