Zero vision for Swedavia’s carbon dioxide emissions at Stockholm Arlanda

Stockholm Arlanda Airport works in various fields to minimise the adverse environmental impact of its operations.

Reduced carbon dioxide emissions are one of the areas the airport is focusing on – since 2004, net emissions of carbon dioxide have been cut by more than half. Swedavia has a zero vision for its own emissions at Stockholm Arlanda.

Stockholm Arlanda’s aquifer – the world’s largest energy storage unit – has been in operation since the summer of 2009. It provides the airport with cooling in the summer and heat in the winter.
