Zero vision for LFV’s carbon dioxide emissions at Stockholm-Arlanda

Stockholm-Arlanda Airport works in various fields to minimise the adverse environmental impact of its operations. Reduced carbon dioxide emissions are one of the areas the airport is focusing on − over the past four years LFV has more than halved its net carbon dioxide emissions, and by 2012 its own emissions at Stockholm-Arlanda will be zero.

Aquifer-based heating and cooling – now in operation

Energy consumption will decrease by 30 per cent

The LFV Group’s target is to reduce energy consumption at Stockholm-Arlanda by up to 30 per cent by 2010 – a target that can be achieved, among other things, by placing an aquifer in service. Another goal is that all energy used at the airport shall be derived from renewable sources.
