Zero vision for Swedavia’s carbon dioxide emissions at Stockholm-Arlanda

Stockholm-Arlanda Airport works in various fields to minimise the adverse environmental impact of its operations. Reduced carbon dioxide emissions are one of the areas the airport is focusing on − over the past four years Swedavia, formerly LFV, has more than halved its net carbon dioxide emissions.  Swedavia’s goal is to achieve zero emissions of carbon dioxide at Stockholm-Arlanda.

Energy consumption will decrease by 30 per cent

Swedavia's target is to reduce energy consumption at Stockholm-Arlanda by up to 30 per cent – a target that can be achieved, among other things, by placing an aquifer in service. Another goal is that all energy used at the airport shall be derived from renewable sources.
